The Department of Science and
Technology (ITN) offers courses and conducts research and research education
in Physics and Electronics, Communication and Transport Systems and Media
Technology. It also offers courses in Mathematics, Computer Science and
Construction Engineering.
A total of 230 courses are offered to approximately 1800 students. The largest
group of the student body studies the technical programmes leading to either
a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a Master of Science in Engineering.
However, the department offers courses within the Vocational Diploma programme,
Vocational College studies, a bridging-year study programme and in a Software
and Systems Development programme.
External assignments represent an important part of our activities. The breadth of competence in education and research within the department is very large, as demonstrated by the descriptions found under the links to Education and Research.
