The division for Media and Information Technology (MIT) conducts fundamental and applied research, and undergraduate and postgraduate education. MIT is a part of the Department of Science and Technology at Linköping University. The division collaborates closely with the Norrköping visualization center C (www.visualiseringscenter.se).

Research grant from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research
Professor Anders Ynnerman has received a five year grant of 27 million SEK for a project on data-driven scene characterisation for realistic rendering.
Four projects are awarded grants by the Swedish Research Council
Researchers at the Media and Information Technology division were awarded a total of 12,6 SEK by the Swedish Research Council in grants to four projects.
IVA awards gold medal to Professor Anders Ynnerman
Professor Ynnerman has been awarded a gold medal by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, IVA, for his contributions to visualization and physical simulation in computer graphics, and for innovative leadership.
