HOWTO: Include Equations on Dark Background in Impress

This howto describes the measures needed to have equations with a black or dark background in OpenOffice Impress. The default font size is also wrong by default.

  1. Create a new equation, which opens the equation editor
  2. First of all write color white size 28 which sets the equation colour to white and resizes the equation.
  3. Write your equation code inside curly brackets, so that these properties are set on the whole equation and not just the first character, color white size 28 { ... }
  4. Since the equation editor uses white background even if your document background is black, you can't see anything white. A tip is that you insert a single letter after the keywork white while you edit your equations.
