Teaching
Since January 2021 I am a member of the program board for Industrial Economics and Logistics (IL). Since January 2009 I have a been substitute member of the same board and have also been the chairman of the program planning group (PPG) for the undergraduate programs in Norrköping belonging this board (SL, FTL and KTS). I am the coordinator of the five-year engineering program Kommunikation, Transport och Samhälle (KTS) since 2009. Since 2008 I am the coordinator for the Traffic Analysis master program profile on the KTS program. During the years 2003-2011, I was the director of undergraduate studies at the division.
I currently do the majority of my teaching in the following courses:
-
TNK118 Transport Demand Forecasting, 6 ECTS, Second cycle, Spring semesterThe course aims to provide basic knowledge in the planning and forecasting of traffic systems. The course provides an overview of problems and applications in the area of traffic planning and traffic modelling. The course will help the student to gain insights into the underlying theories on which the transport models are based. The course covers both supply and demand modelling. Link to course syllabus. This course, but with course code ETE366 is also offered as a stand alone course which is possible to take mostly from distance.
-
TNK132 Bachelor Thesis Communication and Transportation, 16 ECTS, First cycle, Spring semesterThis course is a project-based course with the aim to apply knowledge from previous courses to a more practical project. The course includes one group based part, which is carried out together with students from another engineering program, and one individual part. Both parts focus on the automation of transportation and logistics systems, specifically on route optimization and communications technologies. Link to course syllabus.
-
TNK047 Optimization and System Analysis, 6 ECTS, First cycle, Autumn semesterThe course aims at giving further insight into modelling and optimization of decision problems, including models and methods for optimization problems with discrete variables and problems from game theory. The students can, after the completion of the course, formulate basic models in decision analysis, solve and analyze the formulated models and apply the analysis to practical problems. Link to course syllabus.
Research
My research focus on transport modelling and applications of transport models. The research is made within a number of projects. I am currently involved in the following projects "Code Flow" and "Multi-modal traffic management" (MMTL) and other project related to demand modelling.Publications
